A hackathon in Pittsburgh aiming to connect high school students and introduce them to the world of programming.

The tech industry is rapidly growing, but teenagers need to start adapting  to the growing tech presence in the job market. Pennsylvania, mainly  Pittsburgh, has the potential to become the next tech hub of the East,  but it needs teens to be more involved in tech at a younger age. To serve people at this age is the purpose of Hankӧy, a non-profit, 24-hour, high  school hackathon where programmers get together to learn new skills  and collaborate with others to build projects related to programming.  Hankӧy is open to all skill levels and backgrounds and is completely free  for attendees.
